The big question is what do you really want? People who do not have a winning mindset are often unsure of what they want. If you ask them what they want out of life, they will give you a blank stare and their mind will churn as they try to come up with an intelligent response. If you don’t know what you really want, you’ll get what life gives you.
Unfortunately, the majority of people live their lives in this manner. Why do they do this? Because it takes effort to work out what you really want. And most people are unwilling to make any effort to improve their lives.
People with Winning Mindsets know exactly what they want
A person with a winning mindset knows exactly what they want. They will know where they will be in a year, five years, ten years, and so on. They not only know what they really want, but they also have a plan to get it.
They take the time to examine the various aspects of their lives and identify the changes that need to be made. This can include learning new skills, becoming healthier, purchasing a better home or car, or improving their relationships.
People who have a winning mindset understand the importance of asking themselves the right questions. They understand that inquiring about their lives will stimulate their subconscious minds and provide them with the answers they seek. They set new goals based on the responses they receive.

Take a pen and paper with you and find a quiet place with no distractions. Examine various aspects of your life and ask yourself searching questions. You can examine the following aspects of your life:
• Your career or business
• Your health
• Your money
• Your interpersonal relationships
• Your abilities or skills
• Your contribution to the world

It is entirely up to you to identify the areas of your life that you want to focus on. You understand yourself better than anyone else. Once you’ve identified these areas, it’s time to ask yourself the right questions in order to figure out what you want.
So ask yourself, “am I satisfied with my current business or career?” If the answer is “no,” consider why this is the case. For example, you may discover that your business or career is not providing you with enough income. So make a note of the fact that you want to increase your income.
Repeat this process for each of the different aspects of your life that you want to improve. When it comes to your health, you may decide that you need to lose some weight, and when it comes to your skills, you may decide that you need to learn how to be a good public speaker. It doesn’t matter – just jot down everything.
Identifying what you really want or desire
When you complete this exercise, you will most likely come up with a list of things you want to do to improve your life. People with a winning mindset understand that they can’t take on too many new goals at once, so they carefully consider each item to determine how badly they want it.
So, if you acknowledged that you want to increase your income, consider how badly you want to do so. Then imagine you’ve already accomplished this and notice how you feel about it. Go for the things that evoke the strongest emotions or feelings in you.
I’m still unsure what I really want to be
Many people go through life with no idea of what they really want. They usually follow the American Dream without question because it is what is expected of them.
That, in my opinion, is a terrible way to live your life. At the risk of sounding corny, I’d like to emphasize that you only have one life; make the most of it by doing things that make you happy. And you should get started right away!

You should regret nothing
Don’t feel bad about being self-centered. This is your life. It’s time to live your life exactly how you want. You won’t be able to move forward if you constantly regret things you did or didn’t do in the past. Don’t get stuck in the past. Live in the present…as well as the future!
Determine what you need
Sit down and think about what you need the most. Is it your family? The freedom to express yourself? Love? Financial security? Something else? It can be difficult to determine what you need at times. But taking your life assessment can undoubtedly be beneficial.
By completing your life assessment, you will be able to identify which aspects of your life require more attention and what is preventing you from living the life you desire. Then, you can make a list of priorities. Also think about the kind of legacy you want to leave behind.
Determine what is really bothering you
You can only soar if you push back against something you don’t want. Determine what irritates you and be specific about it. Don’t just say you despise your office job. Determine why you simply hate it. Is it your boss? What is your workload? Your meaningless job title? Or perhaps all of the above? What bothers you, and how can you resolve it? How much do you want to fix it?

Determine what truly makes you happy
There’s no waste to life if you’re content and happy living it. Your desires emerge as a result from your happiness. So, take a few moments to consider what makes you happy. Being surrounded by children? Is it travelling? Having a successful business? What about your significant other? Financial independence? You’ll have a clear idea of what you should strive for in your life once you’ve identified the one thing that makes you the most happy.
Sometimes all you need is a solid framework to inspire you to make a change in order to live a happy and fulfilling life. The type of framework that allows you to step outside of your comfort zone and get unstuck from where you are, allowing you to reclaim control of your life.
Let people around you know what you’re trying to actually achieve
Don’t keep your desires and goals to yourself. Voice it all out! When you tell people what you’re trying to accomplish, they’re more likely to support you and provide new ideas. Mother knows best some of the time!
Maintain a positive attitude
Life does not always go as planned. Don’t be disheartened if your plans deviate. Take command. Instead of panicking, try your best to adapt to the changes. You’ll get there eventually. You’re simply taking a detour. Sometimes all you need to keep going is a positive attitude.
